Lyndon - The Lyndon planning commission met Wednesday October 13th to discuss the rezoning of Darling Hill Road.

The purpose of rezoning would be to allow commercial properties on the road. It is currently zoned as rural residential which limits it to inns and private homes.

H.O.P.E.'s Plans for Opening

h.o.p.e LYNDON - After several floods set the opening back, H.O.P.E., or Helping Other People Everyday, is now officially opening the doors to their new building this week.

The organization made a long anticipated move in July to a larger building on Church Street, but due to a series of floods and necessary renovations they have delayed their official opening until this Thursday.

Agency of Transportation Budget Cuts

Lyndon - The Vermont Agency of Transportation has presented a budget recession plan. The plan would cut $400,000 from the local paving budgets. This is in result of the 2.8 million dollar budget cutback that passed back in July.

LYNDONVILLE - A St. Johnsbury man who lead police on a high speed chase on Friday, has plead not guilty on all counts.

Twenty-four year old John Sheehy appeared in Caledonia County Court yesterday to speak for multiple charges related to Friday’s chase. Sheehy was identified as the man driving a Green Subaru that struck a propane tank after leading police on a chase through multiple towns.

LYNDON- Tobacco users in the Vermont State College System should be on the look out for possible changes in the upcoming months.

In May 2016, The Vermont Department of Health went to the Board of Trustees to ask the colleges to create a Tobacco-Free Campus plan for the fall of 2018.

LYNDONVILLE- Pedestrians in Lyndonville are concerned with the current condition of crosswalks in town. The issue stems from the angle in which the walks are painted. Crosswalks that were installed last year have already received criticism.
