Scarecrows Decorate St. J Streets

ST. JOHNSBURY - Some fall festive characters have arrived on the streets of St. Johnsbury with the start of the second annual scarecrow competition!

Adults hung their creations on street poles in town while children set up on Crow Row in Depot Square Park starting Saturday, October 16. First, second, and third place winners will be recognized on October 31.

Last year's competition highlighted 40 creations. On Saturday, less than 20 scarecrows decorated the town. But, as the week went on, more straw friends have made appearances downtown.
